Three directions to fold the backstop†forward, rear or to the side†giving
you a 360Ð choice to take the backstop up and out of play.
The available space and design of the facility usually dictates the choice
between a front, rear, or side braced backstop. |
Rear folding units will clear obstacles like ceiling mounted score boards and
speakers. |
Forward folding backstops can be installed close to the wall. |
A rear braced unit has more clear space above the top of the backboard. |
A front braced unit positions a backboard closer to a wall. |
A side braced backstop can fold to clear both walls and other obstructions. |
Bent stem backstops provide greater clearance above the backboard. They also
install with less space between the pivot point and the jackknife, reducing the
likelihood of interfering with other ceiling-suspended equipment. |
Wall mounted backstops also available. |
